My son is now 12 years old and has been receiving speech since he was 2 years old. I can say clearly and without hesitation that the past 2 years with Roseanne has been the most impactful years in my son's development. Her approach to providing speech with her level of advocacy, insights and practical strategies and how much she cares directly correlates to the growth and accomplishments that my son has achieved over the past 5 years.

Everything is unique from what they are reading, speaking, playing and the rewards. Once she has captured their interest she can use her decades of experience to target specific areas, resulting in improvements and then giving the children a feeling of success that feeds the process.

She immediately diagnosed my daughter's speech delay as due her adenoids needing to be removed, something her doctors never mentioned, and then enthusiastically worked with her to teach her to speak and pronounce words beautifully. In addition, she worked with my children to help with their reading and learning differences. She is not only a kind and patient teacher but she has become an educational confident and friend to us all.

She worked diligently with him to push his reading level up and more importantly to get comfortable and enjoy reading. She focused on words with more than two syllables which was hard and she made it super fun because she adapted the lessons to what he wanted to read and learn. Funny fiction, joke books, and anything related to his passion— transportation was used to inspire him. Roseanne is a professional who is kind, passionate, patient and truly loves what she does. Her energy is contagious and he would leave his therapy sessions laughing and happy. There’s no better seal of endorsement than that! Over the years, she also worked with him as a teenager when he needed support with soft and social skills. Again, she went the extra mile and tailored every session to his needs.

Roseanne is very thorough with her work but my son felt comfortable doing the testing with her and sharing his thoughts, and it was not difficult to convince him to come to the sessions. The reports were completed quickly and provided a great deal of insight into his strengths and deficits. She has set the bar very high for any future Speech Therapists and I recommend her very highly.

The sessions not only work on his speech but also his other related needs, such as job interviews, proper work etiquette, and class assignments. He looks forward to the sessions every week. If he needs help in his classes, the sessions provide a great check-in for him with any questions or concerns with his school work. Over the past years, these sessions have given him more confidence and provided him with the tools to use in college and work.

When he wasn't talking like his peers at the start of his first year of preschool, I was concerned and afraid.  I wasn't sure what the problem was or how we could help him.  I had spoken to several specialists and I felt that nobody was able to cut through to his issues and needs until I had one phone conversation with Roseanne.  She knew right away what he needed!  

Finding and getting to work with Roseanne was a small miracle for our family. She not only had the deep and intricate knowledge of how to move through the steps to help him resolve the nodules (without surgery) but formed such a good connection with him that he worked tirelessly along with her. She did this by creating a fun, serious and creative environment. Our son recovered fully, and came back to Roseanne two years ago for some help with pronunciation of his r's. Now as a teenager he has a passion for public speaking and we know this was influenced by his pride of overcoming this difficulty and his wholeheartedly positive experience with the amazing Roseanne!
